The Fiji Correction Services internal inquiry into three of its officers who were on duty the night the five inmates escaped continues.
Fiji Correction Services spokeswoman Ana Tudrau-Tamani said investigations were ongoing and was expected to be completed by next week.
Mrs Tamani refused to release finer details of the investigations.
It was earlier confirmed that a board of inquiry had been set up consisting of three people.
She said once the investigations were completed, the Commissioner Lieutenant Colonel Ifereimi Vasu would decide the next course of action.
The five prisoners have been recaptured.
