NINE teams will kick-off the 2012 Raiwaqa Volleyball Association season at Ed's Court in Raiwaqa tomorrow.

RVA organiser Erami Rasaubale said even though only nine teams had confirmed participation after registration closed this week, they believed more teams would join later.

Rasaubale said they were not concerned about the number of teams registered as they wanted their competition to start on time.

We have set a date for the opening of our season and we want to stick to that date, Rasaubale said.

Even with nine teams we will still go ahead with our season opening tomorrow because we want to give teams that have been training the opportunity to play.

We have some teams that will confirm their participation later this week and early next week so our numbers will surely increase.

Rasauabale said they also wanted to include a women's competition in their weekly games but that would depend on the number of teams that come in to register their teams.

Even for tomorrow we will accommodate any women's team that come in and register at the court, Rasaubale said.

We're also calling on teams in Raiwaqa, Vatuwaqa, Raiwasa and Samabula areas who want to join our competition to come to the Ed's Court tomorrow or call our officials to register their teams.

Competition will start at 9am tomorrow. Rasaubale said for teams that want more information should contact Tuniu on 9247071 or Erami on 3541448.
