EAST was crowned the new winner of the annual Fiji National Rugby League East versus West Conference clash at the Ra sports complex yesterday.
This is after East managed to win the first fixture with the second match ending in a draw.
East won the first match 22-14.
West led the second game 18-6 at halftime but East managed to come back and draw level 20-all.
FNRL development officer Sale Tubuna said both matches were tough. He said everybody was fighting for a spot in the Fiji Residents for the upcoming Battle of the Bati in Suva from October 2-6.
