TOURISM operators are optimistic this week’s India Fiji Tourism Exchange Show will benefit the tourism industry.
Royal Davui Resort general manager Jullie Hodson said she was grateful for the opportunity to directly interact with 35 Indian travel agents who had been here over the past week developing contacts and checking out potential future business.
“I am quite impressed with the presentations and also the people coming from India,” she said.
“It seems the people are very interested in our product and are interested in working with us in the future.
“Our hotel caters mostly to honeymooners from India. We accommodated about 30 couples from India last year and we expect to see an increase in numbers.
“Some of the agents we have spoken to so far to are already familiar with Royal Davui and the good thing is we are luxurious and an exotic resort,” she said.
