IT’S not always money talk and profits on the minds of those in our business community but it’s helping out wherever and whenever possible to boost economic development.
BSP Life recently took the extra mile to boost momentum at the two-day Fiji Headteachers Association Conference which started in Savusavu yesterday.
Three hundred conference bags were handed to association president Neumi Waqa and association secretary Surend Prasad, both expressing gratitude to the life and health insurance company for their support towards the teaching fraternity.
In a statement, BSP Life general manager sales and distribution Michael Nacola said the company was in the business of protecting and securing the financial wellbeing of individuals and families, adding they were committed to supporting entities that were an integral part of the community.
“Teachers play a crucial role in shaping the qualities and behaviour of our children and are more important role models in our communities,” Mr Nacola said.
“They serve to develop our future leaders and we are delighted to be able to partner with the association in their annual conference.
“This even enables our teachers to strategically map out plans for the next 12 months and to ensure that their own welfare is taken care of.”
Mr Nacola said it was their hope the contribution would better equip teachers to prepare their students for the challenges in life.
