ALL schools around the country are advised that there will be no change in school hours when daylight saving begins on October 21.

Minister for Education Filipe Bole said after consulting stakeholders, school times would remain as normal.

He said he would be instructing heads of schools nationwide of this directive to ensure class times remained unchanged.

“If, for example, your school started at 8.30 before daylight saving, it will continue to start at 8.30 after daylight saving,” Mr Bole said in a government statement released yesterday.

The country will start daylight saving from 2am on Sunday October 21 when clocks are to be moved forward to 3am.

It will end at 3am on Sunday January 30 next year before the new school term begins.
