TOURISM Fiji has announced the appointment of social media agency, Circul8, to lead its global social media program.

It is the first time the organisation has appointed an agency to oversee the brand’s entire social media interests on a global level.

Sydney-based Circul8 will be responsible for social strategy and campaign activities, as well as ongoing community management, for the Tourism Fiji brand across the world.

“Circul8 was selected based on highly competitive criteria following a rigorous global tender process that saw agencies from the US, UK, China and Australia pitch for the business,” Tourism Fiji acting chief executive officer Michael Meade said.

“Circul8 demonstrated a comprehensive knowledge of the expanding world of social media and how they would apply this to our new brand which is being launched later this year,” Mr Meade said.

Circul8 managing director Alana Stocks welcomed the announcement.

“The team at Tourism Fiji have shown great vision by making social media a core pillar of their global marketing strategy, and we’re thrilled at the prospect of turning that vision into reality,” she said.

Circul8 commences work next month.
