TOP teams will feature in the first-ever sports triple header at Churchill Park in Lautoka tomorrow afternoon.

The triple header, involving rugby league, rugby union and soccer, is part of the 2012 Divisional Crime Prevention Community Carnival.

Commander West Community Policing Faaiyaz Ali said the spectators would be able to witness a sports feast at one venue.

He said entry for the three clashes would be $5.

"This is for a worthy cause," Ali said.

"For the first time, fans will be able to witness three different sports played at one venue on a particular day. We have kept the entry fee to a minimum."

The triple header will kick-off at 3.15pm with the rugby league clash between the Fairtrade-sponsored Makoi Bulldogs and the Sigatoka Electric Sabeto Roosters. This is a repeat of the Vodafone Cup final which was played in Suva earlier this month.

In the second fixture at 5.15pm, Nadroga will battle Lautoka in a rugby union encounter. The feature event at 7.30pm will be the soccer clash between the two cities of Lautoka and Suva. Both teams will use this match as a build-up to the Courts Inter District Championship in Ba next month.
