POLICE officers in the north were told yesterday they had no reason to have pending investigations given the number of cases received in the area.

Police Commissioner Brigadier-General Ioane Naivalurua told senior officers that there was a need for effective, workable strategies to target pending investigations.

"We cannot go beyond if you cannot bring stability to your own divisions," Brig-Gen Naivalurua said.

"Police investigations need to be monitored and followed up until it reaches court and to do this, we need to think outside the box and work the extra mile."

Brig-Gen Naivalurua had also spoken of the present exhibit audit that was in its final stages saying the beginning of the docket audit would see heads roll within the Fiji Police Force.
