THE Fiji Muslim soccer side has received a major boost ahead of the FANCA tournament today with Suva-based Best Promotions and Nadi's Sadai Motor Spares joining hands to sponsor the team.

Fiji will be out to win the title on their home soil.

National team manager Mohammed Hafiz said the players had arrived into camp this week.

He said the players had been training individually.

"Since the players are scattered around the country they had been training on their own," Hafiz said.

"We have many talented players in the side. The aim is to make a winning start. We are calling on the fans to turn up in numbers to support the side." Fiji last held the FANCA title back in 2004. New Zealand is the defending champion.

The Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum was the chief guest during the Fiji team's presentation night at the Fun Park Hotel in Nadi yesterday.

The national side will play USA at 8pm at Prince Charles Park in Nadi today.
