THE Fiji Football Association wants to complete the under 21 National Football League competition before the Inter-District Championship next month.
Fiji FA competitions manager Jainendra Sukhu said only the winner for southern zone two needed to be confirmed.
He said Rewa had won zone one of the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries sponsored competition but the battle for zone two was between Nasinu and Navua.
"Nasinu is leading on points but Navua have two games in hand," Sukhu said.
He said Navua would play two games this week — today and tomorrow against Suva and Lami respectively to determine the eventual winner.
"The rainy weather conditions faced in the southern zone have forced the league competition to be played for this long.
"Once we know who has won between these two, we can have the zone play-off which will see Rewa face-off with the winner of zone two."
In the western competition, Rakiraki won zone one and Ba won zone two.
"Ba and Rakiraki will play against each other on Sunday at 3pm to determine the western champions.
"As for the north, Labasa is the winner and they are just waiting for the western and southern zone to be completed."
Sukhu said the Southern zone final will be played either on Saturday or Sunday this weekend.
"After we know the Southern and Western winners, we will have a national play-off between southern, western and northern winners to determine the national champions of the under 21 league competition.
"We want to complete the under 21 league before IDC because some of these players might feature for their districts in it," he said.
The Courts IDC will be played from October 10 to 14 at Govind Park in Ba.
