SIX youths facing a total of 31 counts of sexually-related offences appeared in the High Court in Suva yesterday.
The youths are from Kadavu and the charges range from rape, sexual assault to unnatural offence.
The first accused was charged with nine counts of rape, one of sexual assault and three of unnatural offence; the second faces four counts of rape, one of sexual assault and two of unnatural offence; the third was charged with three counts of rape and one of unnatural offence; the fourth was charged with two counts of rape; while the fifth and sixth accused were each charged with a count of rape and another of unnatural offence.
They appeared before High Court judge Justice Paul Madigan.
Their cases have been adjourned to next month.
