THE Siberia Sanatan team walked away $1000 richer on Saturday night after winning the week-long Vodafone 2012 Labasa Sanatan Tournament.
The side beat Bulileka Red Devil 2-1 in the final.
Siberia stars Roy Krishna and Jesnal Krishneel helped the side secure the win.
Other teams that made it to the cup semi-finals included Vunivau A and the Nagata Shiv team, which shared the $510 prizemoney.
Vunimoli Sanatan defeated Naleba Sanatan in the plate competition and walked away with $100 while Vunika Sanatan defeated Lajonia Sanatan to win $50.
Tournament chairman Mor Singh said they had decreased the number of participating teams this year from 64 to 32 to help increase the standard of competition.
"We need to look at the tournament rules in order to brush up on some aspects," he said.
