IN an effort to improve their knowledge and ensure the safety of guests, staff members of Fiji's only eco-adventure park, Kila World, have gone through an Australian standard adventure course training.

Kila World marketing executive Kalpana Lata said the aim of the training was to ensure all staff involved in Kila Park had the required skills and knowledge to provide 100 per cent safe activities to guests.

"Running an eco-adventure park such as Kila Park requires us to follow the best international regulations whether for the material or the staff and PLEASS Global Limited, the owner of the Kila Park facilities, invests substantial amount of money on a regular basis to comply with the most stringent requirements of the sector," Ms Lata said.

She said the training from September 3 to the 13 involved rescuing someone stuck on a high rope activity or securing and supporting guests who might at times get scared.

Ms Lata said staff members who underwent the training learnt not only about adventure activities but also lots of life skill techniques.

Kila Park is located off Queens Road near Nabukavesi Village.
