Carpenters Group retail and marketing director Kuna Sabaratnam says the winner of the Model of the Year award at this year's Fiji Fashion Week (FJFW) will win a trip to Hong Kong, all expenses paid.
The winner will be accompanied by the winner of the emerging designer category as well as FJFW managing director Ellen Whippy-Knight.
"This is really exciting for Fiji's fashion industry; we are being included in orldwide events of a global standard and FJFW is indeed grateful for this," said FJFW media officer Lice Rova.
FJFW has also managed to get TAV on board for this year's show.
"TAV have just confirmed their participation in the opening night of FJFW 2012, so those coming to our opening night will be in for quality fashion design.
"It will be an exciting night," said Ms Whippy-Knight.
Also attending this year's show is renowned New Zealand designer Annah Stretton, who has expressed interest in meeting local garment manufacturers and create business opportunities.
The fashion show is scheduled for the 18th of October through to the 20th at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.
