Tappoo and crew ready to rock

FIJI-BORN Bollywood singer Sumeet Tappoo and his team of musicians from India arrive in the country today to perform a series of shows.

Aunindra Raj Bachu, the director of Pawon Promotions which is bringing the show to Fiji, said Tappoo was an upcoming singer and one of Bollywood's brightest young talents.

Mr Bachu said the show would include lead female singer Jasmine Kapadia and a full complement of Bollywood musicians — flute player Santan Fernandes, drummer Prasad Alekar, keyboardist Chiragkumar Solanki, percussionist Mitesh Desai, lead guitarist Rishi Singh, bass guitarist Santosh Pawar and saxophonist Hamid Parmar.

In addition, comedian Dipoo Srivastava arrives with Bollywood dancers Janvi Shah, Jayalaxmi Salgoankar, Dinesh Kushwaha and Abhilesh Gangadharan tomorrow.

The shows will be held at the National Gymnasium, Suva on September 28, Tilak High School auditorium, Lautoka on September 29 and Shri Vivekananda High School auditorium, Nadi, on September 30.
