THE stage is set for the start of the new Nadi Volleyball Association season this Saturday.
This year, the Votualevu, Namaka and Nadi associations have merged to form one body.
NVA official Dan Vakadranu said volunteers turned up to refurbish the CAAF hard courts at Old Town in Namaka last Saturday.
He said they managed to water blast the courts with the help of an Airports Fiji Limited fire tender.
"A total of 17 teams have shown interest in participating in the knockout tournament," Vakadranu said.
"The number will be higher come the tournament day because the three associations have come under one banner. This is certainly good for the district as we missed out on the national tournaments last year."
Registration fee for the knockout tournament is $10.
