THE Labasa Golf Course provides the best platform to test skills of top golf players in Fiji, says Fosters Group Ltd Marketing Manager Joe Rodan.
Playing at Saturday's Fiji Premium Vanua Levu Golf Championship at the Labasa Golf Course, Rodan said the tough terrain and rugged hills would make good golf players think carefully about what techniques to use.
"This is a real testing ground for players who are so used to smooth green and golf course in Viti Levu.
"It actually tests our skills and makes us really think hard about the best technique to use when playing in Labasa.
"I thought the Natadola golf course was tough because of a lot of hills but this is tougher so it's a good test for me," Rodan said.
He added the support by his company to local sports was part of giving back to Fijians what they loved best — sports.
"We will develop sports in Fiji and that is part of our commitment to the community and people of Fiji."
"We all love sports in Fiji so it is equally important that it be treated as a way of keeping healthy."
