THE national netball squad met yesterday at the FMF Gym in Suva to start their preparation for the 2012/13 season.
Coach Unaisi Rokoura said they did not drill on anything specific during the training, which basically focused on regrouping the team.
She said the players would be following the training programs given to them and they would meet every Saturday to train together.
"It was just a squad regrouping and we did nothing specific at the training," the former national skipper said.
"The attendance was good and there were just few players that didn't turn up. We planned to meet every Saturday and it all depends on the availability of the facilities."
Rokoura said the team would be preparing for the potential international fixtures by the end of this year and the proposed franchise tournament next year.
"We are doing this offseason training to prepare for the Test matches which might come up and to keep the players in shape."
