FIJI'S local yachting industry has the potential to bring in more money for the country.
Musket Cove Island Resort general manager Olivia Mavoa believes that the industry has the potential to grow.
Ms Mavoa said Musket Cove Resort had benefitted from its annual Fiji Regatta Week and other resorts could have the same benefits.
"The industry has a lot of potential to grow especially for those that have a marina. The advantage that we have is that we also have resort facilities, so if local resorts want to also do something similar they can have a look at what we are doing," Ms Mavoa said.
The resort recently held its annual Fiji Regatta Week that attracted competitors from, New Zealand, Australia and Europe.
The regatta, held every September, at the resort, had yachts from around the world at Malolo Lailai.
