THE development of netball in the province of Nadroga/Navosa continues next weekend with the Coral Coast Netball tournament.
Chief organiser Judy Kumar said they had planned to host the Quality Rentals-sponsored tournament today but because of the unavailability of grounds, they had moved the tournament to next weekend.
Kumar says the tournament is open to all netball teams from the province of Nadroga and Navosa.
"The main idea of hosting this tournament is to give all our netball teams an opportunity to play and compete," Kumar said.
"But we will only accommodate the first 16 teams that pay their registration fees."
The one-day tournament will be held at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
Kumar said interested teams were to contact the tournament officials and register before Thursday next week.
"It will be a one-day tournament and the winner will take home $500 while the runner-up wins $250."
Kumar said the losing semi-finalists would each be given $100 while $50 would be awarded to the best player of the tournament.
