UNIVERSITY of the South Pacific (USP) is on track to bag the 2012 Fiji University Sports Association (FUSA) inter tertiary games title.
USP won 11 out of 13 sports that were completed yesterday to stamp its mark in the annual event.
Fiji National University, which registered two teams, managed to grab wins in two sports and needs to make a strong comeback today to remain in contention for the title. FUSA official Gabrieli Qoro was impressed with the talent showcased in the past two days and expects a tough battle in the final day today.
He said the merging of FNU Eastern, Southern and Western schools into two teams had made the games more competitive.
Meanwhile fifteens rugby, basketball, darts, chess, cricket and soccer are among the remaining sports to be played today.
USP won last year's overall inter tertiary competition.
