A MAN charged with 13 counts of rape was denied bail by the High Court in Labasa yesterday.
Sefanaia Siti allegedly committed the offence between 2002 to 2012.
In his bail application, Mr Siti said he wanted to look for a job as he was the sole breadwinner and that he needed to pay for his private lawyer.
He said he had six children, three of whom were mentally challenged and his 17-year-old son was looking after them.
But State lawyer Madonna Fong objected to the application saying the man had a high chance of interfering with the witnesses and the victim.
