POLICE have arrested a man for the break-in at a primary school in Labasa in which computers and computer parts were allegedly stolen.

Police spokesman Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed this yesterday.

He said the man was taken to the Labasa Police Station for questioning.

"Officers in Labasa apprehended the man and all the stolen items have been recovered," Insp Sokomuri said.

"He has been charged with one count of burglary and theft and is expected to appear in court on Monday," he said.

The situation has prompted police to issue a fresh warning that unlawful behaviour will not be tolerated.

"We are appealing to members of the public not to indulge in burglary because it will lead to arrest."
