THREE officers are at the centre of an internal inquiry by the Fiji Correction Services following the escape of five prisoners.
The three prison officers were on duty at the Naboro Medium Facility on Monday night when the prisoners escaped.
Spokeswomen Ana Tamani told The Fiji Times that they had set up a board of inquiry.
Mrs Tamani said the board consisted of three people.
She said once the investigations were completed, the Commissioner Lt-Col Ifereimi Vasu would decide on the next step of action.
The five prisoners are still on the run and investigations are continuing.
