THERE has been a call for unemployed people to register at a National Employment Centre closest to them.
Director Labour Standards and acting NEC director Vilimone Baledrokadroka made the call yesterday.
“All unemployed persons registered with the National Employment Centre (NEC) are kindly requested to report or contact your nearest National Employment Centre Office and inform the NEC officers about your status in terms of trainings completed and which particular NEC component have yet to be completed,” he said in a statement.
“Phase two training and also the eight (8) weeks Employment Skills Training will be conducted in the fourth quarter, hence your feedbacks regarding your employment status will greatly assist the NEC team in finalising the numbers of participants to be trained in the upcoming sessions.
“We congratulate those who are currently on permanent employment, work attachment or on volunteer engagement and we need your feedback.
“Your feedback is vital to add-value to the NEC and it will ensure that the relevant stakeholders are given the correct and accurate data relating to your employment status.”
