NADROGA has named an experienced team to face Nadi in the third defence of the Farebrother Sullivan Trophy at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka on Saturday.

The selection of this powerful line-up has confirmed that the title holders are not taking the Jetsetters lightly this weekend.

Nadi finished in the ninth spot in this year's Digicel Cup competition but the Stallions are still wary of the challenge from their neighbouring rivals.

Nadroga manager Paula Biu said they had selected their best line-up because this would be one of the toughest challenges this season.

Biu said even though Nadi didn't do well in this year's Digicel Cup competition they still respected them as one of the country's rugby giants.

"Nadi as we all know is always tough when it comes to the Farebrother challenge and that is why we have named our best team for this clash," Biu said.

"It's always a cracker when Nadi plays Nadroga for the Farebrother title and the traditional links between the two vanua-based teams always ensures that the two teams give their best performance when they battle for the coveted silverware."

"This is not something new but it has been like this from the beginning of the Farebrother campaign."

"Our players know how important this game is if we want to retain the title and we know Nadi will be coming in with the same mission and that is to win the title."

Biu said Nadroga had been preparing well.

Nadroga captain Setefano Somoca has been rested for the second week in a row due to injury.

Biu said Somoca was given another week to rest and recover from a minor injury and his place had been taken up by Alifereti Cawanibuka.

"We expect a tough and entertaining encounter this weekend and we're calling on supporters of the two teams to come out in numbers and witness one of the best Farebrother clash this season."
