Nationals

THE National Bodybuilding Championships will be held at the FNU Namaka Campus in Nadi on September 29 at 5pm. Trophies will be awarded to Mr Fiji, Ms Fiji, Open Overall, Mr West, Mr Suva, Best Poser and Most Promising. Weigh-in the same day 11am-12noon at Bodylife Gym. Athletes entry fees $10. Public entry $3. Team to compete at South Pacific Bodybuilding Championships in the Cook Islands on November 10th will be picked at the contest.

Quality Rentals Frendz Coral Coast Mixed Netball will be held this Saturday at Lawaqa Park at 8am. Registration of $80 are to be paid by today at 3pm. All teams to be in proper uniforms and also teams from west and central are welcome to join. Winner gets $500; runner up gets $250; losing semi-finalist $100 each. Best male/female $25 each. A NETBALL tournament will be held on October 9-10 at Draiba Village grounds in Navosa. Registration fee is $50 per team and is to be paid by September 29 to Karol on 6203588. First 24 teams will be accepted. This is to fundraise and build a multi-purpose court at Draiba Village. Winner gets $500; runner-up gets $100; and losing semi-finalists $50 each. New Vision Bure

THE New Vision Bure Netball tournament will be held on September 29 at the Suva Grammar School grounds. Only 16 teams will be accommodated and entry fee is $80. Winner gets $400; and runner-up $250. Contact Wame Ratadai 8640604. Entries close on September 22.

Suva

THE Newworld Suva netball annual business house competition will commence with a knockout tournament on (September 29 from 8.30am and then games will be played every Thursday after that. All teams wishing to participate in the competition proper must participate in the knockout. Call 9248829 for details. First 24 teams to register will be considered.

RUGBY

Ba

THE Ba Rugby Union top eight competition will be played this Saturday at the Ba Market grounds.

Ground 1: 2.00pm Komavata-Navala, 3.00 Nailaga-Balevuto (Koronubu Shield Challenge).

Ground 2: 2.00pm Yakete-Senicaucau, 3.00 Sorokoba-Votua.

The J. Mudu Shield will be on challenge next week.

Lautoka

THE knockout quater-finals of the Lautoka Rugby Union will be played at Nadovu Park this Saturday:

Ground 1: 11.00am Vio-Vuda Green II, 12.15pm Kadavu-Topline, 1.30 Vuda-Matawalu, 3.00 Vitogo-Red Hill.

New Vision Bure 7s

THE New Vision Bure 7s tournament will be held at the Suva Grammar School grounds on September 29. A total 32 teams will be accommodated. Prizes for cup, plate and bowl finalists.
