THE Bank of the South Pacific Samabula branch will be closed to allow police investigations into yesterday's robbery.
"Although there was some damage to the premises we are relieved that no one was physically injured in the attack. The safety of our valued customers and staff are of paramount importance to us," BSP country manager, Kevin McCarthy said.
The bank has advised customers to either visit its other branches or its electronic banking services during the closure of the Samabula branch.
"We acknowledge the speedy response by police to locate the getaway vehicle and we pledge support for their efforts to identify the perpetrators," Mr McCarthy said.
BSP's Samabula Branch employs 20 staff members.
