ILIESA Delana continues to reap rewards of his historic achievement at the Paralympic Games after two business organisations gave cash and kind bonuses yesterday.
Carpenters Fiji Limited and Tanoa Hotel Group gave him a $5000 shopping voucher and $2500 cash, respectively to honour Delana's gold medal win in London.
Carpenters Fiji Limited director retail and marketing Kuna Sabaratnam said they were very proud of Delana's achievement.
Kuna said the gold medal win by the 27-year-old was an inspiration to everyone and a good lesson that commitment, dedication and passion was always rewarding.
He said the Morris Hedstrom and Carpenters Fiji Limited shared similar sentiments in providing its customers with the best services.
Tanoa Hotel Group chairman Yanktesh Permal Reddy also praised Delana, adding he was a fantastic role model to many in the country.
"This is a fantastic achievement in the struggle of courage over adversity and one which all Fijians can be justly proud of," Reddy said.
"It brings home to all what can be achieved through sheer determination and the desire to maximise one's potential."
Delana thanked both organisations for their generous reward and vowed to do better in the Rio Games in 2016.
He hopes to resume training by early next year.
