Lautoka

A BEGINNERS training program will begin on September 22 at the Lautoka Multi-purpose Courts from 8am to 11am. All interested age group players wishing to learn basketball are welcome to attend. For further information contact Sava on 9076447. Register now as limited numbers will only be taken.

Meeting

BODYBUILDING

Nationals

THE National Bodybuilding Championships will be held at the FNU Namaka Campus in Nadi from 5pm on September 29. Trophies will be awarded to Mr Fiji, Ms Fiji, Open Overall, Mr West, Mr Suva, Best Poser and Most Promising. Weigh-in the same day 11am-12noon at Bodylife Gym. Athletes entry fees $10.

Public entry $3. Team to compete at South Pacific Bodybuilding Championships in the Cook Islands on November 10th will be picked at the contest.

Women's cricket

FASANOC

Meeting

ALL FASANOC affiliates are advised that a board of management meeting will be held today at 5.30pm at Fiji Olympic House, 17 Bau St, Suva. As per the FASANOC Constitution, Art 6.2 (a), each affiliated federation is required to send one accredited delegate to the meeting.

HOCKEY

Marist Eastgate

THE Marist Hockey Club of Suva will host the 2012 Marist Eastgate Memorial Hockey Open on September 21-23 at the National Hockey Centre in Suva. Men's and women's teams will battle it out for the prestigious Reginald and Dorothy Eastgate Memorial trophies. In addition, mixed under-14 development teams will also be battling for the Apted Trophy.

NETBALL

Navosa

A NETBALL tournament will be held on October 9-10 at Draiba Village grounds in Navosa. Registration fee is $50 per team and is to be paid by September 29 to Karol on 6203588. Only first 24 teams will be accepted. This is to fundraise and build a multi-purpose court in Draiba Village. Winner gets $500 and runner-up gets $100. Losing semi-finalists gets $50 each. Nabasovi District

THE Dere Bay Nabasovi District School netball tournament will be held on October 5-6 at the school grounds in Nasau, Koro. Registration fee is $60 and open to 14 teams. New Vision Bure Netball

THE New Vision Bure Netball tournament will be held on September 29 at the Suva Grammar School grounds. Only 16 teams will be accommodated and entry fee is $80. Winner gets $400 and runner-up gets $250. Contact Wame Ratadai on 8640604. Entries close on September 22.

Coral Coast 'The Great Eight' 7s

THE Fiji's Coral Coast 'The Great Eight' 7s tournament will be held at Lawaqa Park on November 2-3 to determine the eight teams for the Coral Coast 7s from November 15-17. 24 teams will be accommodated with $500 entry fee. Nabasovi District 7s

THE Dere Bay Nabasovi District School 7s and netball tournament will be held on October 5-6 at the school grounds in Nasau, Koro. Registration fees is $150 and first 32 teams to pay will be accepted. New Vision Bure 7s

THE New Vision Bure 7s tournament will be held at the Suva Grammar School grounds on September 29. A total 32 teams will be accommodated. Prizes for cup, plate and bowl finalists. THE National women's league resumes at the National Gymnasium from 5pm to 7pm. The following timetable will be used for training dates:

September 19 (Wednesday) - 5.00pm - 7.00pm - Gold, September 24 (Wednesday) - 5.00pm - 7.00pm - Round 1 - fifth and sixth place play-off, September 27 (Thursday) - 5.00pm - 7.00pm - Round 1 - third and fourth place play-off.

Lautoka

Marist

THE FBC Suva Volleyball season begins on September 29. All players of the Marist Red, Blue and Saints teams and also those who want to or are interested in joining the Marist Club for the new season are to report to the Multi-purpose Courts in Laucala Bay from Monday to Friday for training.

Security Forces

Nadi

A KNOCKOUT volleyball tournament will be held on September 29 at the Natally Hard Courts. Tournament will start at 10am. Registration fee is $10 per team. All interested clubs are welcome.
