SEREIMA Bale leads Fiji Senior Golfers Association annual championships after the opening round of competition yesterday.
The former national rep powered home to lead with a gross score of 85.
Bale leads a very strong field which includes top contenders Lilian Allen and Lyndall Fisher. Allen and Fisher both are in second position behind Bale on 91.
Allen leads the net division on 68, followed by Bale and Mua Rawlinson both tied on 73.
In the men's competition, Prem C Goundar leads on 78, with Abdul Hakim second on 79 and Mohammed Rafiq third on 81. Hakim leads in the division with 67 and is followed by Moses Fong also on 67 and Ravindra Lal on 68.
Prem C Chand was nearest to the pin (NTP) on the second hole while Ramesh was NTP on the fourth hole with his second shot.
Competition will resume this morning.
