SCHOOLS are being encouraged to join the "Go Green" clean-up campaign this Friday. Registration forms can be found at all Bank of South Pacific branches and the deadline for this year's campaign is tomorrow.

BSP, which initiated the campaign in 2010 is calling on all schools in Fiji to promote a culture of environmental responsibility.

"Go Green has focused on schoolchildren with the optimism that it will make children environmentally conscious and impart the culture of environmental responsibility from an early age," BSP's head of marketing Nirdesh Singh said.

Registered schools are given clean-up kits consisting of rubbish collection bags, gloves and some promotional items.

From the 18,000 students from 91 schools in 2010, last year there were 172 schools with 40,000 students for the Education Ministry-endorsed program.
