SIX teams will feature in the Tagitupou Tanoa Challenge to be played at Albert Park in Suva on Thursday.
The Tagitupou Tanoa Challenge is an annual event featuring under-18 and U17 teams from Fiji and overseas.
However, this year the New Zealand Fiji Rugby League under-17 team is the lone participant from abroad.
Fiji National Rugby League interim administrator Tomi Finau said the Country Rugby League team from Australia was not participating.
He said the teams would be divided into two pools.
The local teams that will feature in the one day tournament will include Sigatoka Electric Sabeto Roosters, KBL Saru Dragons, Narere Tigers, Lami Steelers and the Davuilevu Knights.
Meanwhile the NZFRL U17 team arrived in the country yesterday.
Three Fijians of Indian descent are part of the team. They include Clyde Singh, Mithilesh Gosai and Dennis Datt.
The Tagitupou Tanoa Challenge is played in the memory of the late Ilaisa Tagitupou who was the former chairman of the FNRL.
