SINCE the Housing Authority first opened the doors of its Nadi office in 2009, more than 15,000 Western Division residents have utilised its services.

HA spokesman Dwain Qalovaki said more recently there had been renewed interest in the much anticipated development at Matavolivoli Stage 2.

"Following the floods in 2009 we relocated our Nadi customer relations centre to Namaka and last week we commemorated the third anniversary of the HA at Namaka. The office is an important part of serving our customers as it manages about 27 per cent of our total mortgage portfolio in terms of dealing with existing home owners, mortgage repayments and generating new business through our home loan package which is truly a one-stop shop for potential homeowners," he said.

Mr Qalovaki said the move to Namaka also made HA more accessible to sub-divisions developed by the authority.

"Existing sub-divisions developed by HA in Nadi include Legalega, Matavolivoli Stage 1 and Waqadra, as well as our earliest sub-division in Votualevu. It was therefore felt that we should be more accessible to our customers by opening an office here and has since been very well received by old and new customers due to its central location," he said.

Mr Qalovaki said the customer relations centre would play an important role in the west as they finalise the contract for its Matavolivoli Stage 2 project.
