THE people of Koro in the Lomaiviti Group will make their voices heard to the Constitution Commission.
This after a team led by the commission chairman, Professor Yash Ghai, left for Koro last night on board the MV Lomaiviti Princess.
The commission will be at Nabasovi and Mudu villages today.
Another team will leave for Kadavu today.
The commission said in order to encourage people to make submissions, the Fiji Constitutional Process (Constitution Commission) Decree 2012, authorised the making of submissions in the language they were comfortable with, while those with hearing impairments were entitled to use sign language.
"They have a responsibility to collect people's comments and submit them to the President for submissions to the Constituency Assembly at the same time as the Draft Constitution," said Prof Ghai.
"The commission has set the deadline of October 10, for the submission of views.
"However, Fijians will have another opportunity to make their views heard, this time on the draft constitution prepared by the commission," said Prof Ghai.
