THE work of the Constitution Commission in gathering views from the people through their submissions is going well.
Commission chairman Professor Yash Ghai said all was good when asked about the commission's work in meeting their target timeframe.
The commission will leave for Koro and Kadavu today and are expected to be in Dawasamu in Tailevu on Thursday later this week.
They urged members of the public to make written submissions online if they could not travel to designated hearing venues.
The commission said members of the public could visit the website on www.constitution.org.fj and follow the instructions on how they could post their submissions.
Commission member Penelope Moore said people should not be afraid to make recommendations on what they thought should be the new laws for Fiji.
She said it was only through the constitution that government would behave as people wished them to.
Ms Moore also highlighted that submissions could be made in the "form of a dance, song, etcetera", as long as the commission understood what people wished to have in the new constitution.
She said apart from online written submissions, members of the public could also send their submissions via electronic mail on the address submissions@constitution.org.fj.
