KAILA - Adi Cakobau School held another prefects induction last week for Form Five students who will take over the responsibilities of looking after the student body from Form Six and Seven students who are now solely concentrating on their exams.
In front of a packed school hall where students, teachers and parents gathered, the prefects were given their badges and also new responsibilities.
The new leaders were inducted by their own form teachers and were blessed as the third school term gets underway.
The prefects will take over the responsibilities of looking after the junior students and are being groomed to take over next year.
The chief guest at the ceremony was a former student and head girl Talica Malani who is now with the National Substance Abuse Advisory Committee.
ACS is one of the government run schools around the country and over the years has produced many leaders who had led the fight for women and childrens rights in the country.
