PARALYMPIC gold medallist Iliesa Delana picked Nadroga playmaker Jiuta Lutumailagi as his man of the match player after attending yesterday's second Farebrother Trophy game between Outrigger on the Lagoon Nadroga and Northland at Sigatoka's Lawaqa Park.
Nadroga retained the title with a 32-5 victory.
Lutumailagi came in as a substitute in the second spell and his presence was immediately felt as he increased the pace of the backline and orchestrated every move.
"I pick Jiuta as my man of the match because he played beautifully," said Delana.
"I heard he was in a road accident but fortunately he is back playing rugby."
He said he was overwhelmed by the invitation from the Nadroga Rugby Union and thanked them for their support.
"On Friday I felt so tired and needed rest but I was informed of Ratu Isikeli Tasere's invitation and could not cancel it as I have a lot of respect for the Nadroga people and it is here where I was brought up," Delana said.
Yesterday as chief guest he presented the Farebrother Trophy to Nadroga skipper Etonia Naba.
