KADAVU was crowned as the Lautoka Rugby Union second round senior A champions at Nadovu Park yesterday.

The Kadavu team defeated Stallions 20-13 in an exciting fixture.

LRU games committee chairman Suka Rabitu said the final lived up to expectations.

He said Stallions fought hard to try and level the match towards the end but lost the ball close to the tryline.

He said Kadavu just did enough to defend their line.

"This was the remaining final to be played in the round two competition," Rabitu said.

"We are now concentrating on the knockout games now. This will feature the top 16 clubs in the premier grade. These teams will start off with the eliminations and then head into the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final. In the senior A grade the knockout will start with the quarter-finals."

Meanwhile LRU round two premier champions Vitogo made a bright start in the knockout eliminations beating Batiri 15-7 yesterday.
