AIR Pacific has appointed Andrew Stanbury as regional general manager of Australia.
An airline statement said Mr Stanbury's responsibilities would include oversight of all of the airline's commercial operations in Australia. Mr Stanbury is an experienced senior manager with over 15 years of management experience in sales, marketing, customer service, and airport management roles at Air New Zealand and other NZ based carriers.
For the past four years Andrew has been based in Australia where he was head of sales, head of corporate and alliance sales for Air New Zealand. "We are excited to have Andrew joining Air Pacific and our new management team — especially as we get ready for our new fleet of wide-body Airbus A330s and begin rebranding and re-launching our airline as 'Fiji Airways' next year," airline chief executive and managing director, Dave Pflieger said.
"Andrew's breadth of experience, knowledge of the market and trade, and his strong commercial acumen will be invaluable to us in Australia as we move into the final phase of our restructuring and revitalisation and work to establish even stronger relationships with our key partners in the trade."
Mr Stanbury is replacing Air Pacific veteran executive Victor Sharan and starts on October 2.
