THE Citizens Constitutional Forum organised a two-day civic education training in Labasa to prepare people to make submissions to the Constitution Commission in Vanua Levu next month.

The training program which ended at the North Pole Hotel yesterday was attended by village reps, youths, community leaders and interested participants.

CCF program manager Rodney Yee said the training was organised nationwide to prepare the provinces and divisions to meet the commission with their submissions. "We want people to present good submissions that will not only benefit them individually but also the community they live in," Mr Yee said.

"With the knowledge these participants gain from here, they will be able to educate others in their communities prior to the arrival of the commission."

Mr Yee said the participants had also made submissions which would be put forward to the commission.

"This training is a form of awareness for people to prepare themselves with their submissions so they know what they present," said Mr Yee.
