Pacific Sun cancels flights

DOMESTIC carrier Pacific Sun has cancelled its service scheduled for the north today.

"Pacific Sun wishes to advise that after our own assessments carried out on the Labasa airport runway following upgrade works, the airline is unable to operate its ATR-42 service there tomorrow," Pacific Sun general manager Shaenaz Voss said in a statement issued late last night.

She said the decision was made in line with Pacific Sun's own requirements for safe operations.

She said that would include services out of Nadi and Nausori to Labasa.

"Another round of inspections will be carried out tomorrow, after which time we will be able to inform the travelling public on the commencement of services," Ms Voss said.

She advised all customers to contact their call centre on 3304388 for updated flight schedules.
