EVEN though the Vodafone Cup competition ends tomorrow, Fiji National Rugby League interim administrator Tomi Finau said it was not the end of the season.

This is because the Rugby League Inter-Zone competition begins from next week.

Finau said the competition was part of the process for selecting the Fiji Bati and so players must not stop playing after the final tomorrow.

He said each zone in the competition would have to produce two teams, one in the premier grade and one in the under-20 grade.

"The western zones, Ra, Lautoka and Nadi will have their competition at the Ra Sports Complex in Rakiraki," Finau said.

"The eastern zones — Suva and Nasinu including Coral Coast — will play their competition at Buckhurst Park in Suva," he said.

The initial plan by FNRL was to have the competition played over two weeks however they decided to have it on one day because of time constraints.
