THREE Lautoka Crushers teams have qualified for the grand finals of the Fiji National Rugby League club competition tomorrow.
And Islands Electric sponsored Crushers under-14, U16 and U18 have one common mission — to break their winless jinx that has haunted the club for last four years.
Former Fiji sevens star Metuisela Talebula's under-19 team of 2008 were the last Crushers side to win a title.
The U14 side plays Nadi Raiders at 10am, the U16 takes on Nakasi Cowboys at 11am while the U18, laced with several players from the Lautoka Central College Deans team, faces Lami Steelers at 12noon.
Club coach and former Fiji Bati Mesake Navugona said this weekend would be history in the making for the club.
"This is the first time we are having three teams qualifying in the finals. The Last time we won a final was in 2008,that was the U19 grade. Now three teams have that mission to write a new chapter in the history book," he said.
"We want to thank our sponsors for backing and supporting us. We will go out there give our best to repay the faith of loyal supporters."
