REWAS disappointing Digicel Cup performance this season will be its motivating factor to its promotion relegation clash against Namosi on Saturday.
Rewa failed to register a win this season losing all eleven provincial matches which makes their spot in the major division hang on the balance. The GP Batteries promotion relegation match kicks off at 3pm on Saturday at Nausoris Ratu Cakobau Park.
The minnows managed to bag only two points in the points table. Namosi on the other hand is boosted with the presence of national sevens reps like Levani Botia, Ilai Tinai, Joji Ragamate, Niko Verekauta and Setefano Cakau.
Rewa team manager Inia Tubui said they were treating the match like playing in the Digicel Cup competition. He said they would continue the momentum from the last round of the provincial games.
We have not changed our preparations for the GP Batteries promotion relegation, we know that Namosi will be out to beat us but we have maintained our game codes and structure from the Digicel Cup he said.
Tubui said the inclusion of the Fiji sevens rep in the Namosi brigade would not be a threat to the team.
They may have big names in their team, but that does not worry us, actually we respect them for that, because that is all part of rugby.
Rewa is a very young team and the only big name we have in our side is the Almighty God, Tubui said.
