National Sports Science Conference
THE Fiji Physiotherapy Association in partnership with Fiji Rugby Union and the Ministry of Health will conduct a National Sports Science Conference titled “Supporting a Healthy Nation through Sports” on September 15 and 16 at the Pacifica Auditorium at College of Medicine, Nursing and Allied Health FNU in Suva. Guest speakers include Dr. Grant Mawston (AUT; NZ) who will lead the “Back symposium”; Physiotherapist Kate Polson (NZ) who will present her paper on “Best practice guidelines on AC joint separations.” Other speakers include local experts who will present on the following topics: Imaging in Sports; Appropriate Periodisation to Prevent Injuries; Sports Psychology - Going for Gold 2016; ACL Protocol for Fiji; The use of GPS for Performance Analysis; Video Analysis in Sports; Latest development in Doping in Sports.
