AS a former global ambassador raising awareness about HIV and AIDS, President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau said the work by Empower Pacific contributed to attaining the three zeros —zero new HIV infections, zero discrimination and zero AIDS-related deaths.
Ratu Epeli lauded the many programs offered by the NGO that was assisting people living with HIV to cope with life and training programs offered to people in the Pacific region to increase counselling skills.
“I am particularly grateful for Empower Pacific’s contribution in the areas of awareness, prevention, treatment, continuous counselling of HIV and AIDS affected persons and efforts to reduce the stigma, discrimination and gender inequality,” he said.
He hailed the trainings conducted by Empower Pacific for health workers.
