Duo in court
TWO men appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court for allegedly stealing fuel. Donald Kumar and Vinal Vintesh Kumar appeared before Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili yesterday. The pair were charged with Indar Deo who pleaded guilty to the charge. They were charged with 25 counts of theft. The court heard the men allegedly stole $123,094.12 worth of oil.
Traffic case
THE magistrates court has ordered a man charged for a traffic offence to undergo psychiatric assessment. Tomasi Matakitoga is charged with one count of dangerous driving causing death. He appeared before Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili. The court heard that the accused was mentally unstable to take his plea.
