FIJI has a new chief registrar.
Acting chief registrar Mohammed Saneem was sworn in as the new chief registrar on Tuesday afternoon. This was confirmed by Chief Justice Anthony Gates yesterday.
Mr Saneem’s appointment follows the departure of former chief registrar Irani Arachchi on Monday.
Permanent secretary for Justice Mere Vuniwaqa in a statement said in accordance with the terms of her contract, the relationship between the Fiji government and the Chief Registrar Irani Arachchi had come to an end.
Ms Vuniwaqa extended her best wishes to Mrs Arachchi and thanked her for her service.
